New Community Bus

New Community BusPeacehaven & Telscombe Town Councils fund a community bus which launched 4 years ago.  The service will now runs between 7.30am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.  It will take you to and from anywhere within the Peacehaven, Telscombe and East Saltdean, Newhaven and Seaford area, including Telscombe Village.  You can use the service to travel to local shops and supermarkets, doctors, dentist, optician appointments, or to visit friends, day centres, play centres, leisure centre etc. The minibus is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate folding buggies.  Most residents living within the area covered by the service can use the community bus.  First you need to register which is free. To check elegibility please phone the CTLA on 01273 517332.  Costs vary depending on where you travel to, but for example a single journey within one town costs just £2.  Accompanied children under 12 years of age are free. Unfortunately the national bus pass cannot be accepted on this service.  It is a personal service providing door to door transport (subject to access).   To book the service you will need to ring the CTLA offices giving at least one day's notice - the offices are manned between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
