PLAYGROUND REFURBISHMENT CONSULTATION -  Telscombe Town Council is considering a phased refurbishment and replacement of the play equipment in its 3 play spaces; Kirby Drive and Ambleside Avenue in Chatsworth Park and the Robert Kingan play space in Bannings Vale. If you would like to contribute to the consultation process on a range of issues such as the type of equipment needed or what improvements you would like to see happen, click on the 'Council' heading above, then 'Key Council Documents' and then number 27 to complete the form and return to the Telscombe Civic Centre.

MAYOR'S APPEAL FUND REQUESTS -  The Mayor, Cllr John Livings, would like to invite local organisations to apply for financial support from his Mayor’s appeal fund. No project is too small.  Application Forms are available from the Town Council offices, or from the 'Key Council Documents' area of the website.   The form should be completed and returned to Telscombe Civic Centre by 2nd March 2012 for his consideration later that month.

Councillors' Surgery and MP's Surgery

The  COUNCILLORS' SURGERIES are held on a Saturday once a month from 10-11am at Telscombe Civic Centre.  The next one is scheduled for Saturday 4th February 2012.  There will normally be both a Telscombe Town Councillor and County/District Councillor in attendance. This is your opportunity to discuss local issues with your Councillor, so please come along - no appointment necessary.

MP'S SURGERY - We are pleased to announce that our MP for the Brighton Kemptown area, Simon Kirby, will now be holding surgeries at Telscombe Civic Centre.  The time will be from 10-11am and you will need to make an appointment to see him. You should call 01273 589178 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. COFFEE MORNING - Telscombe Residents Association runs a coffee morning at the same time as the Councillors' Surgeries, the next one being on Saturday 7th January at 10am.  Please come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

TELSCOMBE TYE NOTICE - Please be aware that cattle and sheep graze the Tye - If you see them grazing, PLEASE KEEP DOGS ON A LEAD.  Thank you

The Council endeavour to ensure Telscombe Tye continues to be a safe and relaxing environment for its residents and visitors to enjoy and the following activities pose an unacceptable risk to public safety/are not permitted:-   Hang Gliding and Kite Boarding; Metal Detecting; Dog Fouling.   Offences will be prosecuted:- Driving Motor Vehicles (Section 34 Road Tarffic Act 1988);  Offence of Livestock Worrying; Firearms, Shotguns and Air Weapons (Section 19 or 20 (2) Firearms Act 1968).

ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE RAGWORT REMOVAL - Telscombe Town Council will be increasing the number of sheep on Telscombe Tye in the second week of December 2011 to reduce the crowning ragwort.  For any queries please call the Ranger on 07860 272249, or the Town Council Offices on 01273 589777.
