The sheep will be returning to The Tye on Monday 1st April. They are an important part of management of the Tye. They make sure the scrub is grazed efficiently and chalk grassland is maintained. This grassland is important to many protected species of animals and plants and is unique to this part of the Country.
The sheep will be pregnant, which makes them very susceptible to stress. If they are chased by a dog, they could give birth prematurely or even abort. Please make sure your dog is on a lead and under control at all times, especially around the sheep.
Please be especially careful at this time.
