Part time, 27.5 hours per week to include Monday to Friday from 9am -1pm, plus 7.5 hours in the afternoons (negotiable)
Salary Scale LC1, SCP 7 – £10.44 per hour
Salary £20,092 pro rata

Telscombe Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable person to join a small & friendly busy office in Telscombe Civic Centre.

The role of the Admin & Finance Assistant is to provide general administration support to the Town Clerk/Council/Amenities Officer and to the Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) in maintaining financial control.

You will be the first point of contact at the Civic Centre reception and duties will include dealing with a wide variety of queries from the public; maintaining a computerised bookings system and invoicing; updating a range of computerised records, the Council’s website and social media sites; providing a professional and efficient administrative support service; processing and arranging payment of creditor invoices; preparing and maintaining detailed financial management systems; to assist maintaining statistical records on excel spread sheets; processing petty cash; reconciling incoming cash; any other duties that might reasonably be required in support of the Town Clerk/RFO and/or the Council & Amenities Officer.

You will need to be proficient in the use of common computer software packages, i.e., word, excel, publisher and powerpoint, have good people skills and preferably a full driving licence.
