New Mayor elected for 2026/27

At the Annual Full Council meeting held on the evening of 20th May 2026, Cllr Cathy Gallagher was elected as Town Mayor for 2026/27 and Cllr Neil Watts as her Deputy (see photo below).    Cllr Gallagher’s consort will be Mr F Gallagher.

Cllr Gallagher has chosen Develop Outdoors CIC and Boomerang Nursery as her charities she will be fundraising for and will also hold a one-off Race Night fundraiser on 6th November raising funds for the Sussex Heart Charity.
