Help protect Chatsworth Park – no BBQ’s or open fires

The recent spell of hot, dry weather has significantly raised the risk of fire in Chatsworth Park.   We are therefore asking everyone who visits the Park to help protect this important open space by taking extra care.

Please:

• Do not discard cigarette ends or matches.
• Do not light barbecues or camp fires.
• Take all litter home with you, particularly glass bottles, which can increase the risk of fire.
• If you see a fire, move to a place of safety and call 999 immediately.

Even a small spark can quickly develop into a serious grass fire in the current conditions, putting wildlife, nearby homes and members of the public at risk.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping to keep Chatsworth Park safe during this period of increased fire risk.
