NOTICE OF CO-OPTION OF TWO TOWN COUNCILLORS

Following an uncontested election last year, Telscombe Town Council still has 2 ordinary vacancies in the Telscombe Cliffs ward which it can fill by co-option.

Telscombe Town Council invites applications from candidates who satisfy the eligibility for being a Councillor and the competencies listed in the person specification.

The Town Council is not obliged to co-opt to fill any vacancy or to select anyone from the candidates who apply.

The Council meets once every other month on the third Wednesday of the month.   Committees also meet once every other month mostly on Wednesdays, apart from the Planning & Highways Committee which meets once every 3 weeks.   If you would like to know more about the role, please contact the Town Council offices.

If you are interested in serving as a Town Councillor, please download an application pack here and return the completed application to the Town Clerk at Telscombe Civic Centre, 360 South Coast Road, Telscombe Cliffs, East Sussex, BN10 7ES or via email to stella.newman@telscombetowncouncil.gov.uk.    Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 9th February 2024.  Candidates will be invited to speak at the Full Council meeting to be held on Wednesday 20^th March 2024, after which a vote by Councillors will take place.
