SGN Gas Network Upgrades – A259 South Coast Road (and adjoining roads) Telscombe Cliffs

SGN will be carrying out work to replace sections of the ageing metal gas main along the A259 South Coast Road, starting on 7th September.

The works have been planned in consultation with East Sussex County Council and form part of their wider programme to upgrade older metal mains to new, durable plastic pipe. This will help them maintain a safe and reliable gas supply for residents and businesses. A summary of the planned work is included for information.

To keep people informed, they will be issuing letters to affected households across Telscombe Cliffs and Peacehaven.

Information about the project will also be available on their website through a dedicated page for these works. This page will go live within the next two weeks, and they will share the direct link as soon as it is published. Their communications team will also update INRIX, which informs sat‑nav systems and media outlets, and they will share updates on X, Facebook, and Instagram.
