Could you help us protect the heart of Telscombe Village?

Gorham’s Gift is a registered charity and legacy trust that owns several homes, buildings, and land in Telscombe Village.  Bequeathed to the village by Ambrose Gorham in 1933, our mission is to protect this beautiful, unspoiled rural area, care for the Church of St Laurence, and give back to the local community through education and poverty relief.

We are currently looking for a new trustee to join our team and help us keep Ambrose Gorham’s vision alive.

What we are looking for:-   You don’t need to have been a trustee before! We are simply looking for someone who cares about the village’s heritage and wants to get involved.

Ideally, you would:-

• Bring enthusiasm, sound judgement, and a passion for local history.
• Be able to keep commercial information confidential
• Have some knowledge of farming or farm management, or experience in legal or planning matters.

What’s involved?   This is a voluntary, unpaid role, but all reasonable expenses are covered. It simply involves attending a small number of meetings each year mostly at Hove Town Hall with one formal meeting in the village – and working alongside your fellow trustees to guide the charity’s future.
